My name is Jacque, and I’m writing on behalf of my beloved older sister, who at 83 years old still wakes up every day with the heart of a healer.

For the past 35 years, my sister has been a licensed acupuncturist. She put herself through school and built her practice from the ground up. She has dedicated her entire life to helping people find pain relief, better health, and healing — often for patients who had nowhere else to turn. Her work has truly been her calling and her greatest joy.

Unfortunately, she recently lost her Preferred Provider status with major insurance companies after missing a paperwork deadline. Even though she has since submitted all the required documents, the insurance companies will not reinstate her for at least 3 months. This has left her without access to most of her clients and nearly all of her income.

At 83, her only remaining income is a very modest Social Security check. Her monthly expenses for both her business and basic living needs are at least $3,000. Without support, she faces the very real risk of losing her home and the practice she has spent a lifetime building.

This is especially difficult because she has never asked anyone for help. She has always been the one helping others. Like many people her age, she struggles with the complicated online insurance portals and technology that younger providers navigate easily. What should have been a simple renewal became a major crisis through no fault of her own.

We are humbly asking for temporary help to get her through the next 3 to 4 months until her provider status is restored and her practice can resume. Any funds raised will go directly toward her rent, basic living expenses, and keeping her business afloat during this gap.

This amount would cover approximately 4 months of her essential expenses and give her breathing room during this stressful time. Every donation — whether $10, $25, $50, or more — will make a meaningful difference in helping an 83-year-old woman who has given so much to her community.
