Support for Amy's Family
Donation protected
Our dear friend and colleague, Amy, fought a rare and aggressive form of cancer for several years. On April 27, Amy passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones. Anyone who knew Amy knows she was as tough as they come. She was tenacious, brilliant, and full of life. She was also a single mom to Colton, McKenna, and Peyton. Amy's kids have been the center of her universe since the day they were born. Amy was a fierce advocate for her kids, ensuring they thrive in their academic and personal lives. She was the rock of her family and a cherished friend. Amy's big goal was to take her family on a vacation in Australia. Unfortunately, the pandemic and her cancer diagnosis prevented that from happening.
Amy fought cancer with the same tenacity she brought to all aspects of her life. She bounced back from several near-death events during her treatment. Her cancer has no cure. Her determination to live another day for her kids was demonstrated repeatedly in her refusal to give up and willingness to endure any treatment option if it promised even a glimmer of hope for a longer life. Our goal is that the kids want for nothing as they navigate the difficult days ahead, that they see the impact their mom had on all of us through the outpouring of support, and we can all take comfort in knowing her kids will be supported in achieving the dreams Amy had for them. And if we raise enough, we hope that someday, when the kids are old enough, they can fulfill Amy's dream and visit Australia.
