Amy was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. She's being treated at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, which means regular trips from Austin, extended stays away from home, and time away from the classroom. After almost 20 years of barely taking a day off, Amy is now burning through her accrued time off just to get treatment.
