Support for local nurse after house fire
Donation protected
Amy is one of the most hardwroking, selfless, and caring people I've ever had the privilege to know. She is a full time registered nurse, a mom of four, and has been caring for her elderly mother with advanced dementia for some time.
Amy has been battling to find a facility to help care for her mother to help keep her safe, but unfortunately there wasn't any places able to take her at this time. On March 14th, while Amy was at work, the unimaginable happened and her house caught fire with her mother inside. Found unresponsive, Amy's mother was rushed to Loyola hospital where she was intubated and has been being treated for her injuries.
Amy's family lost everything to the fire and one of her dogs unfortunately didn't survive. Amy will be out of work to be with her mom at the hospital while she begins her long road to recovery. She still waiting on temporary housing through her insurance so she is staying between her daughters house and a hotel.
I'm hoping we can help show Amy and her family support by lifting some of the finical burden they face as they begin to rebuild their lives and their home.
