Amy Joseph has always been the person who shows up—with kindness, warmth, and a light that lifts everyone around her. In June 2024, her life changed in an instant following a sudden medical event. Since then, she and her loved ones have continued to hold on to hope. In the months following this event, Amy showed signs of recovery. But in the fall of 2025, everything shifted. By October, she was sleeping most of the day, and despite countless tests and hospital visits, no one could explain why. As the weeks passed, her condition worsened, leading to repeated hospitalizations from October through the end of the year. In January she was transferred to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where, after a critical test, Amy’s condition declined and she is now currently unable to respond to those around her. While we all remain hopeful that she will recover, Amy currently lies in a hospital bed, surrounded by uncertainty—but never alone. Her husband, Mark, her children—John, Courtney, Nicole, and Shannon—and her selfless siblings have been relentless in their love and support, traveling from Pennsylvania, Virginia, South Carolina, Idaho, and California to be with her. They’ve spent long hours on the road and long nights in waiting rooms, sacrificing comfort just to hold her hand and be near her. The emotional toll is overwhelming, and the financial strain of constant travel and basic necessities continues to grow. This fundraiser will help give Amy’s family something so simple, yet so important—a place to rest, a moment to breathe, and the strength to keep showing up for her.
