Our sweet Amiris Hunt-Nuñez, has gained her wings far too soon.
Amiris, just 3 years old, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly due to natural causes. She was the beautiful daughter of two young parents, Trinity Nuñez and Telazjhajuan Hunt, who fought tirelessly for her every single day. At just 6 months old, Amiri’s was admitted to the hospital and intubated, where doctors discovered an undetected spinal cord injury. From that day forward, her life was filled with surgeries, hospital stays, and constant care. Her parents went through extensive medical training just to bring her home safely. After months in the hospital, she was finally able to come home one week before her first birthday on July 3rd, 2023, to celebrate that special milestone. Life wasn’t easy, but she was deeply loved and fiercely protected. Amiri’s was a beautiful little girl, full of light and incredible strength. Even in the smallest movements, her personality shined so brightly. She filled every day with warmth and joy — it was impossible to have a bad day when she was near. Over the last year, she had finally begun to stabilize and was no longer being hospitalized as frequently. She seemed to be doing okay. Her passing was unexpected and has left an unimaginable void. We are raising funds to help cover memorial expenses and to ease the financial burden on her parents during this devastating time. Any support, prayers, or shares mean more than words can express, Thank you.
