Support for Ami, James, and Andrew Walstrom

Oh guys...
If you are lucky enough to know Ami Walstrom, you know what a true gem of a human she is, what a champion she is for this town, our kids and schools, how incredibly selfless she is, and what an amazing mom she is to her sons James and Andrew. And of course, what a wonderful wife she was to her Jeff.

Ami treasures her family beyond measure, which makes this story the most upsetting. Ami and her family were spending a long weekend this President's Day in Lake Havasu... boating, fishing, and enjoying their family. On Saturday night (February 13th), her husband, Jeff, told Ami his back was hurting and went to bed early. In the early hours on Sunday the 14th, his back still hurting, he moved to the couch. He did not wake up. 

This is devastating on so many levels. Jeff was an incredible husband to Ami, a phenomenal dad to James & Andrew, and a valued friend to those who were close enough to know him. This unfathomable loss is truly heartbreaking.

Ami will be raising her two tween & teenaged boys on her own. She is a hardworking businesswoman and runs La Casa Verde de Granada in Downtown San Clemente ( https://lacasaverdestore.com ) in addition to raising her sweet sons and volunteering for any and all causes she finds a way to make better.

On a personal level, I got to know Ami while volunteering for Concordia Elementary’s Splash Foundation over the past 6 years. She would never take any credit for the incredible role she played in raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for Concordia, volunteered her time in the classrooms, and was the go-to person for any time someone was in need. She does everything with a heart for service and with no expectation of praise or reciprocation. I learned so much from her just by being near her. She is PURE GOOD and she needs our help right now. 

I'm setting up this Go Fund Me because I know Ami is not one to ever ask for help, yet, she has helped our community so much over the years in ways that are truly remarkable. 

It is my hope that we can loudly support someone who has so silently and selflessly supported our community year after year, day after day, and time after time. Ami Walstrom could use some love and I know this beautiful town is so capable of giving it.

Any amount, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated and will help in huge ways.
