Update: Becky's memorial service will be this Saturday, March 14 at 2 pm at the Atholton Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 6520 Martin Rd, Columbia, MD 21044.

Our friend and neighbor, Becky Steele, passed away on March 7, 2026, from injuries sustained after being struck by a car. Becky was a retired social worker who spent her life helping others, especially during her years in Greenbelt, Maryland. She made a lasting impact on the residents of Green Ridge House, the city's senior apartment community, always offering a helping hand and a kind word. Becky was also a devoted gardener and a person of deep faith, living her life by the words, "Do to others as you would have them do to you" (Luke 6:31).

We are raising money to support Becky's daughter, Amber, as she navigates this difficult time. The funds will help cover funeral home expenses, the memorial service, and travel costs, easing some of the financial burden Amber now faces. Becky gave so much to her community, and now we have the opportunity to give back to her family in their time of need.

In this time of sadness, we want to support Amber and her family and give back to them the way Becky gave to so many. Your kindness and generosity will help honor Becky's memory and provide comfort to Amber as she says goodbye to her beloved mother.
