Support for Amber during Jade’s Surgeries
Donation protected
If you’ve ever met Jade (Jade is the cutie on the far left in the photo) you know he’s the funniest most sweetest little dude, not to mention brave and resilient.
Jade has infantile Scoliois, his curve is at 90 degrees and he will need major spinal surgery over the next 7 years, the first being on November 4, 2021. The doctor has warned Jade’s family that there will be many complications over the years putting Jade’s surgeries within the double digits due to the nature of how aggressive his curve is.
For the past 6 years Jade has been in a fibreglass torso cast to stabilize his curve, now his curve is worse than ever. The good news is that they have an amazing surgeon at the BC Children’s hospital who they trust to make this as easy on Jade as possible. The problem is that they are going to have a lot of trips over to Vancouver, couple that with recovery time, means Jade will be missing out on a lot of school which means his mom will be missing out on a lot of work to care for him and take him on impromptu visits to the ER and Vancouver. Financially this is more than she will be able to take on as she is a mom to two children and is trying to run a business and provide for her children.
This family has already been through so much and there are a lot of scary unknowns, the last thing they should be worried about are finances.
If you’ve ever met Amber (Jade’s mom) you know she’s the first to reach out and be there for family, friends, and strangers alike. She is a caretaker by nature and now I ask for your help in showing that they are supported and held through this scary stressful time.
