The Brown family is going through something they never expected, and her relatives on the Madsen, Hobbs, and Adams side would like to share what has happened to our dear Amanda, who is 40 years of age.
On Monday, March 16th, Amanda suffered a massive stroke and was transferred for immediate emergency care to Health Sciences North in Sudbury. She underwent emergency brain surgery to relieve pressure on her brain and has since been transferred back to North Bay Regional Health Centre this past Friday, March 27th. While she has shown some signs of cognition, the doctors have emphasized that rest is of the utmost importance for her ongoing care for an undetermined amount of time.
Amanda is a devoted mother to her 8-year-old daughter, who bravely ran to her neighbours crying for help, leading to a 911 call that helped save her mommy’s life. Her daughter’s courage and love have been a bright light for the family during this terrifying time.
Amanda works in North Bay as a Social Worker with the Canadian Mental Health Association and has spent her life helping others, dedicating herself to supporting people struggling with addiction. Now she faces a long and challenging recovery, and her family is standing by her side to support her every step of the way.
A stroke of this magnitude doesn’t just affect Amanda… it changes the lives of her daughter, her family, and everyone who loves her. Amanda and her family are now facing uncertainty with both her health and ongoing living expenses.
Funds raised will help ease this burden, covering living expenses during Amanda’s recovery, her daughter’s needs, and potential future medical or rehabilitation requirements as she works toward regaining her health and independence.
We invite you to support Amanda and her family in any way you can. Whether through a donation or by sharing this page, your help will make a real difference in her recovery and the wellbeing of her loved ones ❤️
