My name is LaKeesha Balawender, a close friend of Amanda Shea and her daughter Rory. The past two days have been unimaginable for anyone to have to go through. Amanda lost her mother-in-law on Thursday, January 16, 2025 followed by sudden loss of her best friend and husband the following day on Friday, January 17, 2025.

With Amanda now widowed and Rory without her father… The emotional side of loosing any loved one is overwhelming enough, but to be faced with multiple at once, is just unthinkable.

With Amanda’s permission, I’ve set up a GoFundMe in hopes friends, community, and anyone willing, can at least help alleviate the financial strain this family is suddenly facing.

Shea Family Update:

Due to the significant costs of service arrangements and the lack of insurance to cover the expenses, Amanda has planned a simple yet respectful farewell for our friend, Jason. At the families request, funeral services will be private and there will be no calling hours at this time.

My hope for Amanda and Rory is that we can come together as a community to help raise the full amount and lift this heavy burden to allow them the space to grieve and navigate this difficult time.
