Alma Beauvais, 22-year-old student from France, was crossing the street inside the crosswalk when she was hit. She is in the hospital recovering after a truck ran her over and sped off in Carrollton Friday night. Alma is recovering from a broken femur and MCL tear in addition to an extremely traumatic experience. Funds will be donated to aid in her long journey to recovery and ongoing medical expenses. Alma studies Convergence Journalism at the University of West Georgia and is heavily involved in extracurricular activities, long days at her job, and being a best friend to many.
