Four weeks ago, my father received the devastating diagnosis of terminal lung cancer, which has since spread to four tumors in his brain. Our family is now facing the heartbreaking reality of transitioning him to end-of-life care. My father has always been a pillar of strength for our family—he is a loving dad to five amazing kids: Tommy, Alex, Alicia, Carlos, and Daniel. Just recently, he celebrated 32 years of sobriety, a testament to his resilience and dedication to his loved ones. He has always been a great friend, enjoyed playing pool with his cousin, and cherished every moment spent with his two granddaughters.
