On December 4, 2025, my sister Alice Alita went to the ER with symptoms that seemed like mini strokes. After a CT scan and a series of other tests, the ER doctor delivered devastating news: the scan showed a very large mass in the right hemisphere of her brain. A subsequent brain biopsy confirmed our worst fears—it was a stage 4 glioblastoma, an inoperable tumor.
The diagnosis changed everything for Alice. She had to quit her job running her self-employed logistics company because the symptoms made it impossible for her to drive or work. For months, she didn’t realize the difficulties she was experiencing were all caused by the tumor. Now, she faces not only the challenge of treatment and healing, but also the stress of mounting bills and daily expenses. Every contribution will help Alice pay her mortgage, utilities, groceries, fuel for medical appointments, co-pays, and anything Medicare does not cover.
Ali has the biggest heart of anyone I know. She has helped so many people in so many ways, always unconditionally. My hope is that this fundraiser can help lighten her financial load and worries, so she can focus her energy on her treatments and healing, not on where she will live if she can't pay her mortgage. Any support you can give would be a great blessing in her life.
