❣️In Loving Memory of Alfredo Oliva❣️

Support for Alfredo’s Family and especially his daughter, Lea Oliva.

I have debated for days on whether or not to create a GoFundMe. I know so many people are struggling right now, and asking for help is something I never imagined I would have to do again. But this sudden loss has changed our lives forever, and it has come on top of a year and a half filled with one life-altering crisis after another. Each hardship hit before we could even recover from the last. Everything has compounded so heavily and so quickly that we can barely catch our breath. It has simply become too much for us to carry alone.

The past year and a half has taken our family through more pain than we ever imagined possible. What began with Alfredo’s kidney transplant turned into a long road filled with crisis after crisis. Alfredo’s paralysis from Guillain-Barré Syndrome shook our world to its core, leaving him fighting every single day just to move, just to breathe, just to hold on. Before we could even process that trauma, our home burned down and we were left with nothing. Then came the chronic rejection of Alfredo’s kidney, the exhausting return to dialysis, and constant hospital stays that took everything out of us—emotionally, spiritually, and financially.

And now… losing Alfredo.
Our hearts are truly shattered.
There are no words big enough for the pain we are living in!

It is with the heaviest heart that I share that our beloved Alfredo Oliva gained his wings and went home to Heaven on November 12, 2025, at 2:05 a.m. due to cardiac arrest from long-standing complications related to his kidney transplant.

Alfredo was truly one of a kind — a man whose heart overflowed with kindness, laughter, and unconditional love. He had a way of making everyone feel seen, valued, and cared for. Alfredo didn’t just touch lives — he transformed them with his compassion, warmth, and unwavering faith. He had the most profound effect on everyone he met, simply by being who he was.

Alfredo was our everything! A devoted father, a loving husband, a steady, gentle, and a protective presence in our home. He loved spending time with his family, his partner in life, Cristy Gonzales, and his amazing 5 children, Sebastian, Cruz, Azteca, Lea, and Angel — he loved playing board games with them, and it always ended in laughter! He loved playing his guitar for our 3am concerts, and singing karaoke at home with his family and friends, and with that unmistakable spark in his eyes! He loved cooking up some of the most delicious, bomb Mexican food you’ve ever tasted. Every moment with him was filled with joy, humor, and love!

Alfredo also had an immense love and pride for our Sunnyslope neighborhood. He was one of its biggest supporters — always rocking his Sunnyslope attire, cheering at local sporting events, and proudly talking about our community. He loved that big beautiful “S” Mountain, the heart and symbol of our neighborhood, and wore that pride like a badge of honor. Sunnyslope wasn’t just where he lived — it was a part of who he was.

Above all, Alfredo was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ — a man of deep faith who didn’t just talk about God’s love, he lived it every single day! He and his family walked in faith together, trusting God through every blessing and every storm. Alfredo’s life was a reflection of Christ’s love — humble, giving, and full of grace! ✝️

Though our hearts ache beyond words, we find peace in knowing that Alfredo is now resting in God’s eternal embrace — free from pain, surrounded by light, and singing with the angels!

Even though Alfredo’s wonderful family is lovingly taking care of the funeral, our own household is still left facing a mountain of financial hardship. After so much loss—medical crises, the fire, emergencies that hit back-to-back—we are left trying to catch up on so many things all at once. We are doing our best to stay strong, but we are overwhelmed, and the sudden loss of Alfredo’s support, our family is struggling to stay afloat.

How You Can Help:

Your support will help us begin to rebuild some sense of stability after so much loss in such a short time. It will especially support the children, who are carrying this grief at such critical times in their lives.

What the Funds Will Be Used For:

These funds will be used specifically for Alfredo’s daughter, Lea Oliva, who has chosen—on her own—to remain with me even after her father’s passing. Lea and I grew incredibly close during my years with Alfredo, and she truly became one of my own children. Her choice to stay with me is something I honor deeply, and I am committed to supporting her through this heartbreaking transition in every way that I can.

Lea is a senior at our beloved Sunnyslope High School, and she deserves to experience her senior year with dignity, support, and hope—despite all the pain she is carrying.

Your donations will help with:
  • Her senior trip.
  • Her graduation cap, gown, announcements, and senior photos.
  • Her class ring, a milestone Alfredo wanted to be part of.
  • Her next chapter in life, including her dream of attending Northern Arizona University (NAU) this next Fall, 2026.
  • Tuition, books, housing, and the many costs that come with starting college.

These are moments and milestones her father prayed he would be here to support. With Alfredo gone, we are doing everything we can to make sure his dreams for her still come true!

We are trying our best to hold ourselves together, but the truth is—we are overwhelmed, and heartbroken. Any amount helps more than words can express. Please donate if you are able, share with everyone if possible, but we completely unserstand if you can't afford to at this time, just please continue to pray for healing for our family. ✝️

Funeral details are included in the picture section of this post and in another post on my page.

Fly high, My Love! There will never be another person like you on this earth! You will forever be loved, missed, and remembered. ️
