Hello everyone, I am reaching out during one of the most difficult times my family has faced. My dad, Alex Udang, recently passed away unexpectedly after suffering a major stroke while at home in the Philippines. His loss has left a huge hole in our lives, especially for my mom, Mercy, who depended on him for everything. Years ago, our mom had a stroke that left her nonverbal and paralyzed on her right side. Since then, my dad became her primary caregiver, managing all of her needs—from medications and food, scheduling therapy, to hiring caretakers and making sure the household ran smoothly and happily. With dad gone, we are now facing significant hospital and funeral expenses. On top of that, mom still requires round-the-clock care. The caretakers who have been with my parents have continued to provide 24-hour support for my mom since dad was first hospitalized, but we need help to keep her care going while we figure out the next steps for mom. The funds raised will first go toward paying off my dad’s hospital and funeral bills. Anything remaining will help us continue to pay the caretakers who are essential for my mom’s well-being and daily life. We want to send a big thank you to everyone who can help support, share this campaign, send thoughts or prayers, or even just send a kind message. Family and friends are so important, and we are deeply grateful for any help during this difficult time. Your support means the world to us, and every little bit truly makes a difference.
