My brave, strong, and resilient daughter was recently diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer called Triple Negative Breast Cancer. Triple negative is more challenging to treat than other forms of breast cancer as it lacks the estrogen, progesterone and HER2 receptors that are the targets for common hormone and HER2-targeted therapies. The road ahead is long and challenging, with intensive treatment, surgeries, and radiation planned.

The financial burden has become overwhelming due to her inability to work during this time. Our family is seeking support to help with household and childcare bills for her 2-year-old son, as well as the mounting medical bills and the costs associated with her recovery. Originally, she was staged at stage IV, which is treatable but incurable. However, after getting a second opinion at MD Anderson, she is now being treated with curable intent and is in the best hands possible.
