Juanita and Crescencio are a loving, faith-filled couple whose family is facing an incredibly difficult and unexpected journey. Their 8-year-old daughter, Alexandra, recently suffered a stroke and is currently recovering at Randall Children’s Hospital, where she is expected to remain for at least the next five weeks.

Each day brings small signs of progress, and the family is holding onto hope as Alexandra continues therapy and begins the long road toward recovery. While they are deeply grateful for the care she is receiving, the days ahead are filled with uncertainty, and the emotional weight on the family is immense.

During this time, Juanita and Crescencio are doing everything they can to be by Alexandra’s side and support her healing. At the same time, they are facing growing financial pressures—medical expenses, rent, school tuition, travel to and from the hospital, meals, and lost income due to time away from work. These costs add up quickly and can become overwhelming, especially as they prepare to bring Alexandra home and continue her care.

Our hope is to come alongside them and help ease this burden, so they can focus on what matters most: Alexandra’s recovery and staying strong together as a family.

Many of you may know Crescencio from the Welcome Desk, or have seen Juanita and Crescencio singing in the choir at the Spanish Mass. Alexandra has also been a joyful presence, often serving at Mass alongside her big sister, Camila. This family is deeply rooted in their faith and in our community, always willing to give their time and support to others.

Juanita y Crescencio son una pareja llena de fe y amor que está enfrentando una situación inesperada y muy difícil. Su hija de 8 años, Alexandra, sufrió recientemente un derrame cerebral y actualmente se encuentra en recuperación en el Hospital Infantil Randall, donde permanecerá al menos durante las próximas cinco semanas.
