My name is Alexandia Burt, and I am the mother of seven living children and one who passed away due to senseless violence. I am reaching out because my family is facing serious financial difficulties. I have not been able to work for the past month, as I have been caring for my daughter, who was shot on Easter morning at her apartment, just seven days after giving birth to her first child. Before this tragedy, she was healthy and working two jobs to support herself and her new baby. Now, everything has changed, and it has become incredibly difficult to keep up with rent, bills, medical expenses, and the daily needs of my family.
It is a blessing to still have my daughter and grandbaby here with me, but the challenges we are facing are overwhelming. I am doing my best to care for my daughter, my grandchild, and my other four children who live with me. The financial strain has made it hard to keep a roof over our heads, pay for utilities, cover medical bills, and afford groceries and transportation to appointments.
You would mean a lot to me and my children by helping us in this time of need. Your support will help us pay for rent, utilities, medical expenses, gas, groceries, and getting to and from appointments. Me and my children just want to thank each and everyone that made it possible for my family. I ride on faith the size of a mustard seed. Thank you.
