We, the family of Four Tops singer Alexander Morris, have been fighting a very serious and devastating uphill battle due to the life-threatening illness of our husband, father, son, brother, and family giant, Alexander (Lex). In Nov. 2024, Alex was informed that he was/is in Stage IV cardiac heart failure and in need of a heart transplant. Without the transplant, the prognosis gave him 15 months to live. Due to the severity of this, by doctor's orders, he was forced to go on medical leave from the Four Tops in January 2025 for an indefinite period of time. In hopes that he would be added to the transplant donor list, he was forced to walk away from not only his career but his income by which he provided for his family. Trusting God, he complied and had to take on close to 40 percent of the medical costs required for testing and medical expenses that are not covered by health insurance but are required for donor consideration. Upon acceptance into the donor program and a heart match, the federal government would issue a grant to cover the cost along with insurance to cover the total cost, but not until then. Trying to maintain monthly bills and these medical costs, his savings and any retirement savings have been depleted due to the loss of income. The amount to date exceeds by FAR $250,000.00 on medical costs alone, not including any monthly bills. We are still waiting and believing God for a heart match, but as of yet, that hasn’t happened, and as of December 2025’s hospitalization, his heart is beating under 8%, which hospital officials are preparing him for Hospice/Palliative Care. We as a family are asking for your prayers and support. We are asking that if you can find it in your hearts to be a financial help to his wife and family, whatever support, no matter how small or large, would be greatly appreciated.
