Alex Popov was a vibrant 19-year-old from Fair Lawn whose life was tragically cut short in a single car rollover accident on Thanksgiving Eve. The accident occurred near the ramp to southbound Route 208 from Saddle River Road under the overpass. His family heard the sirens, and after making several calls that weren’t picked up and seeing his location not change, they rushed to the scene where Alex had already been pronounced dead, despite the quick response of emergency services. The loss has left his loved ones and the entire community in deep shock and grief.
Alex was known for his unique energy and beautiful soul. He touched the lives of everyone around him with his kindness, wisdom, sense of humor, and ambitious spirit. He was a second-year computer science student at Bergen Community College and had many creative, entrepreneurial ventures and plans for his future.
Now, his family is facing not only the emotional pain of losing Alex but also the financial burden of funeral expenses and the loss of his car. In this incredibly tough time, any support you can offer will help ease their burden and allow them to focus on healing and remembering Alex for the wonderful person he was.
Please consider supporting Alex’s family as they navigate this heartbreaking loss. Your generosity will make a meaningful difference and will be deeply appreciated by all who loved Alex.
