Support for Alex & Marie Through Their Tragic Loss

Alex, a self-employed bricklayer, and Marie, an NHS nurse, were thrilled to finally announce they were expecting a baby boy after several challenging years struggling to conceive. Their happiness soon turned into tragedy when Marie fell severely ill and was hospitalized during pregnancy.

Devastatingly, Marie was diagnosed with stomach cancer. Doctors urgently planned to deliver their baby boy early via C-section to allow Marie to start chemotherapy as soon as possible. Tragically, their beloved son passed away on April 22nd, just a day before his scheduled arrival.

This unimaginable loss has turned their world upside down. With both Alex and Marie self-employed, their financial security has been deeply impacted. Alex feels immense pressure to continue working during this heartbreaking time to support his family through Marie’s difficult treatment and to arrange their son’s funeral.

The Bricklayers Social Club, along with friends, family, and our compassionate community, asks for your help in supporting Alex and Marie.
