Nobody ever wants to be in a situation where they need to ask for help, but after discussing with my mom we reluctantly agreed that it couldn’t hurt to make one of these…
Last week, my mom went to the hospital for a pretty rapid progression of symptoms and found that her cancer is back and has spread to multiple locations. Just last year, she was cleared at her follow-up but it seems to have come back with a vengeance.
There is never a convenient time for cancer, but the fact is that this timing is beyond unlucky. My mom just started her new job and moved into her new home in South Carolina. Now, before earning much sick time, she will be out of work for an undetermined amount of time, at least until her disease is manageable, and even then she will likely be on restrictions.
The funds donated here will go towards treatment costs and assisting with daily expenses and cost of assistance to/from appointments while out of work.
