Support for Aleksandr Mezhebovsky's Family
Donation protected
Life can truly change in an instant. Our father, Aleksandr Mezhebovsky, was involved in a tragic car accident on September 30, 2021 when he was struck by a van while crossing the street. He was taken to the trauma unit at a nearby hospital where it was discovered he had a skull fracture and internal bleeding in his brain. His heart had also not been working properly and during his stay at the hospital, he battled pneumonia. Aleks underwent brain surgery and was placed in an induced coma. Unfortunately, after a week on life support, the doctors informed us that our dad suffered too much brain damage to live a life beyond a vegetative state. The doctors have advised us that we need to begin preparing arrangements for a burial and funeral as he will be passing away in the next few days.
Our dad is only 66 years old and we all believed he had several decades of life ahead of him. Unfortunately, neither he nor us anticipated that he would be passing away this soon and now we are scrambling to come up with the financial support to lay him to rest in a traditional Jewish way, like he would have wanted. We kindly ask that our community help us raise funds to help our father transition to the other side. He was a deeply religious and spiritual man, beloved by his Jewish community, and any help would mean a lot to us, and to him. All contributions are greatly appreciated.
