On the early morning of Sunday, November 23rd, 2025, 6-year-old Alani was spending the night with her grammy and great grammy. Instead of waking up to the comforting smell of a Sunday breakfast, Alani and her family awoke to darkness, ferocious flames, and thick, suffocating smoke. The three family members were rushed to the hospital in critical condition. After a courageous five-day battle, Alani was taken off life support and now joins her great grammy, who also passed away from complications due to this horrific incident.

Alani was the apple of her young dad Anthony’s eye—his only child, his pride and joy. This unimaginable tragedy has left the family not only heartbroken but also facing insurmountable financial burdens. Medical bills and funeral expenses have added to their pain, making it even harder to cope with such a sudden and devastating loss.

I understand timing of an emergency never seems to come at a convenient time, especially with the holidays upon us. I pray you and your families remain safe, and I would never want another family to endure this pain and the crippling debts from medical and funeral expenses.
