Hi everyone. I'm writing this for my dad, who doesn't know I'm doing this. But I received a message from him telling me he was in hospital after he had fainted for several seconds while at dinner the other night. After multiple tests and check-ups, they told him he needs to have Triple Bypass Surgery on his heart.

If you know anything about my dad, you would understand that he plays things down a lot, much like I do at times. He's now in his late 60s and recently moved out to the rural town of Canowindra (near Orange) so the family could have cheaper rent, in the hopes that he could slow down and retire. Because of other needed surgery and proceedures for his wife (making her unable to work), and moving his entire life down to a small country town, he has had to be the breadwinner financially through the whole process. A lot of their resources have now been used up.

Because his wife had to take leave from her work, she has found it hard to find or hold down any other work. So my dad has had to come out of his semi-retirement and look for anything that will at least help them pay for the rent or food or bills that week. I have been helping them out where I can but it's not sustainable. From Bus Driving to Gigging at the local pub, working shifts at a local winery, and doing Barista work, everything has only been a temporary fix and hasn't provided any solutions for him to look after his family. For a while now I have been telling him to look after himself and prioritise his health because I knew things would catch up with him. They always do, no matter who you are. Now it's come to this point where he needs help to get him through this next situation. He now has no choice but to slow down for a while, meaning work and financial stability will be a big question for the next season. So I'm taking to this platform to see if anyone would like to help. Stress shouldn't ever exacerbate where it gets to this point for anyone.
