Yesterday, my daughter Akemi experienced an unimaginable loss when her husband, Manuel “Manny” Mendoza, passed away suddenly from a heart attack while at work. Our entire family is devastated and struggling to cope with this tragedy. Manny was a free spirit, always willing to help others and bring laughter to those around him. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family and loved his mom, siblings, wife, and children with all his heart.

Now, Akemi is left to care for their son, Zion, on her own. Rose, Manny's daughter, will be living with her mother and stepfather. Akemi is facing not only the emotional pain of losing her partner but also the financial burden of funeral costs and monthly bills.
