Aiesha’s family is facing a heartbreak that words can hardly describe. In the early hours of the morning, a devastating fire tore through their home. Aiesha, my cousin, was only 18 years old, but her courage and love for her family knew no bounds. When the flames broke out, Aiesha’s first instinct was to protect her sister—she woke her up and made sure she escaped to safety. But Aiesha’s bravery didn’t stop there. She ran back into the burning house, determined to fight the fire and save what she could. That selfless act speaks volumes about the kind of person she was: brave, loving, and always thinking of others before herself. Tragically, Aiesha did not make it out. She lost her life in the flames, leaving her sister and family shattered by grief.

Now, her sister is left not only to mourn the loss of her beloved sibling but also to face the reality of losing their home and everything they owned. The pain and shock are overwhelming, and the road to healing will be long. I am raising funds to help cover Aiesha’s funeral expenses, provide temporary housing, replace the essentials that were lost, and ensure her surviving sister receives the support she needs to process this unimaginable loss.
