Support for Agustin & Esther During This Unexpected Fight

Agustin has been a dedicated Maintenance Supervisor at Melody Apartments for the past five years. He is the steady presence behind the scenes, keeping the community running and treating residents and coworkers with patience and respect. He is deeply appreciated by students and staff alike.

Recently, Agustin’s wife, Esther, was suddenly diagnosed with leukemia. She is currently undergoing an intensive 24-hour chemotherapy cycle for seven consecutive days. After this initial treatment, doctors will test her bone marrow to determine next steps. There is also a possibility they may need to travel to California for specialized care.

To remain by Esther’s side during this critical time, Agustin is on FMLA and not earning income. Medical expenses, potential travel costs, and everyday living expenses are quickly adding up. With limited family nearby, they are navigating much of this on their own locally. Their children are currently staying with family in another state while Esther stabilizes, adding another emotional layer to this already heavy season.

Agustin is also a U.S. Veteran who served overseas. He has given his strength in service to others — both in uniform and within our Ovation community.

Now it is our turn to stand beside him.
