Hello, my name is Joanna and I have started this fundraiser to help with cost of a funeral. My mum Agnieszka passed away on the 02/04/2025 after a long battle with cancer. I have been her carer for the past 3 years.

Mum moved to England in 2009 looking for a better future. She worked hard, never complained, was always helpful. She made a life for herself here, made friends, and although she didn't have a lot of money she always put others need before hers. When she was diagnosed with cancer in 2022, she did everything to fight it. Multiple chemo, bloods, doctors appointments. In the end it took her, but she never gave up trying and hoping for the best.

I want to give my mum the service she truly deserves, but the costs are more than I can manage on my own. I have contacted the DWP for Funeral Expense Payment, but it has been over a month now, and after sending all the needed documents the application form still hasn't been looked at. The minimum I'd like to raise is £1029 to pay for the crematorium fee.

Any contribution, no matter the size, would mean the world and will go directly toward covering funeral home fees, the cremation and the service.

If there are any remaining funds, they’ll be used to help support our family as we navigate this incredibly difficult time.
