This is Mary Akrami, founder of Afghan Women’s Network International (AWNI). AWNI is a global civil society organization dedicated to empowering Afghan women by promoting their participation, protection, and leadership. With nearly 30 years of advocacy and community engagement, AWNI provides resources, support, and opportunities for Afghan women to confidently assert their rights and freedoms.

This is an emergency support for Afghan refugees deported from Iran. Thousands of Afghan families—many of them women and children—are being forcefully deported from Iran and returned to Afghanistan with nothing but the clothes on their backs. After enduring hardship and instability, they now face even greater danger and uncertainty in a country still reeling from crisis.

We are raising urgent funds to support these refugees with emergency aid and essential supplies, including:

• Food and clean drinking water

• Personal hygiene kits

• First aid and basic medical support

• Emergency shelter items

• Cash assistance to help them stabilize temporarily and regain dignity
