My sister and her family are facing an incredibly difficult and overwhelming time after their daughter, Addy, was injured during a wrestling match. This was a complete accident and not something the other wrestler did intentionally in any way. In a matter of moments, everything changed.

As a result of the accident, Addy was diagnosed with a spinal concussion, a serious injury that has caused paralysis and significant weakness on her right side. She is currently hospitalized, and at this time there is no plan for discharge as doctors continue to monitor her condition, doing inpatient pt and ot. When she is able to leave the hospital, she will require inpatient rehabilitation to begin intensive therapy needed for her recovery.

While there is hope and determination moving forward, the road ahead is long and uncertain. This sudden, life changing event has brought immense emotional and financial stress to the family. Along with mounting medical bills, they are navigating missed work, missed school for Addy, and the daily care of their 7-month-old baby and 14-year-old daughter at home all while spending countless hours at the hospital and preparing for the next phase of care.

The funds raised will go directly toward medical bills, co-pays, hospital stays, inpatient rehabilitation costs, travel expenses for treatment, and daily living expenses during this critical time. Every contribution no matter the amount will help ease the financial burden so my sister and her family can focus on what matters most: helping Addy heal, regain strength, and move forward with hope.
