Our sweet girl. Addie unexpectedly passed away while we were on a special 1 night trip in Pittsburgh. She was 11 years old & the brightest spirit you’d ever know. She was known for her stinky butt, her big smiles, her wiggle nub, & her love for the life she got to live. For about a year & a half now Addie was experiencing paralysis in her back legs. At night time she would stand up really fast (as if she was scared) & immediately fall down & release her bladder. We’d encourage her to stand up within 2-3 mins & she’d shake it off & be okay for a few months. These were not seizures. We took bugby to multiple vets in the area but the underlying issue wasn’t recognized until it was too late. The morning after we stayed Addie had another fit. 10-15 minutes went by & she was not regaining the strength to get up & she seemed uncomfortable this time. We got her into an emergency vet & they found fluid around her heart. Halfway through the fluid removal they found a large tumor on Addie’s heart & realized she had cancer. There was nothing we could do. We felt helpless and still do. Unfortunately she passed away & we had to go home without our baby girl. We took her to be cremated back in WV & we’re waiting on her to be back home with us. Addie had a wonderful last day full of lots of friends, hot dogs, homemade bread, a fire, snuggles, & great weather. She spent so much of her life by our side from work to our adventures. She was so much more than just a dog. She was our companion, truly our best friend, our baby girl. Even though we see her in everything, life will never be the same without her. Thank you to anyone who decides to donate, you are recognized & we will never forget it. To those who can’t, thank you for reading our message. It means the world to us & our family.
