Hello, I wanted to do a GoFundMe to contribute towards my brother, Adam Kong, who just passed this Easter morning, with his funeral and debt expenses. My brother was a good, humble man and a father of 3 who was dealt the wrong card countless times, from a successful liver transplant in 2019 to developing pulmonary hypertension to kidney failure.
Today, he left us to live with God after receiving countless medical treatments that didn't help him in the end and numerous hospital stays within the last 6 months. I'd like to say, he was a strong-minded person who never gave up living to his strongest. Even though he was at his worst, he never let the pain in his body ruin his day from smiling if that's all he could do.
Over the course of his treatments and being the only income source to support his kids, he had to be on FMLA, cutting his paychecks in half while going back and forth to be admitted to the hospital. He was sending in paperwork every week to ensure he still kept his job, just to worry about his next paycheck when he was so sick physically.
To help his children and I prepare for funeral arrangements and support some financial relief to his current debts, I want to raise about $10k to get us through this tough time and help his kids to have some financial stability to get them back on their feet without him now.
