My name is Chris, and I am writing this as Adam Swain’s best friend. Adam and his family are some of the kindest, most genuine people you could ever meet. They are the type of people who would drop everything to help someone in need without thinking twice. Right now, Adam’s family is facing an unimaginable tragedy.
On April 1st, Adam’s sister and her husband were tragically killed in a car accident in Washington County. They leave behind their two young children — a kindergartener who has just lost both parents, and a 6-month-old baby who was airlifted to the hospital following the crash. In a single moment, this family’s entire world was turned upside down. No family should ever have to go through something like this, especially not two children who now have to grow up without their mom and dad.
Along with the emotional devastation, Adam's parents will now be raising the two children left without parents, and there will be a great deal of expenses that come with that responsibility. These include funeral expenses for both parents, medical bills for the infant, and ongoing costs to care for and raise the children. We are inviting friends, family, and anyone moved by this story to contribute if they wish. Every donation will go directly toward supporting the children and covering the many expenses ahead. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this page and keeping this family in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you for your kindness and support.
Update to make fundraiser compliant with Gofundme guidelines.
I. I am Adam Swain’s best friend, and a friend of the family. I created this fundraiser to help him and his family navigate this incredibly difficult time.
2. For full transparency, once the funds are transferred to me (the fundraiser is linked to my bank account), I will write the family a check for the full amount so there will be a paper trail. I am only organizing this fundraiser on their behalf, and 100% of the proceeds will be given directly to the family.
3. All donations will go toward funeral expenses for the parents of the children, medical bills for the baby who was airlifted, and ongoing expenses related to caring for the two children.
Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, and supported the family during this time.
