Yesterday morning, Abraham, only 25 years old, was called into work on his day off. He left his home at 7 a.m., just three blocks away, his life was tragically taken in a hit-and-run accident. The person responsible left him there. Right now, we are at Jackson Trauma Center, where his family is facing the unimaginable.

Abraham was full of life, he loved music, wrote music, sang, and had the kindest heart. He was happy, outgoing, loving, and incredibly cariñoso. He never forgot special dates and would always call me on Mother’s Day and my birthday. His mother is in Spain and cannot travel because of legal document issues, so she is suffering deeply from afar. His father, Jorge, is here going through this terrible pain while also dealing with medical issues of his own. No family is ever prepared for something like this.

We are creating this GoFundMe to help Jorge and the family with funeral expenses and the unexpected costs that come with such a tragic loss. ******Update on Abraham We want to share an update with everyone who has been praying, donating, and supporting Abraham’s family during this heartbreaking time. A detective came to the hospital and clarified the details of the accident. We were originally told it was a hit-and-run, but we have now learned that it was not. The driver was a 25-year-old young man, Abraham’s same age, from another state and driving a rental car. He ran a stop sign, but he did stay at the scene and was the one who called the police. In the middle of all this pain and confusion, we simply did not know all the facts until now. Our hearts remain broken for Abraham, a loving, talented, joyful young man who touched so many lives with his music, kindness, and beautiful spirit. We continue asking for prayers for his family, especially his mother in Spain, who is going through unimaginable pain. Thank you all for your love, prayers, and support.
