Many of you know and love Abi, and if you haven’t been lucky enough to spend time with her, I know you would too. An incredible positive light to family, friends and her two amazing children Daniel and Elsie; Abi’s infectious laugh, mischievous outlook, and dark humour have seen her live life to the fullest whenever she has been able, be it dancing in a field at 4 am, enthusing over local wildlife, appreciating the calm by a campfire by the sea, and of course setting the world to rights over politics, equality and fair treatment for all.

In November 2025, at just 46 years old, Abi received the devastating news of an incurable cancer diagnosis. Having been initially told weeks, possibly a month, her strength to persevere and fight for any available treatment has given her a few extra months, however these options have now ended. Palliative care is now in place to make her as comfortable as possible over the coming weeks.

Abi’s family, friends and especially her children, Daniel 17 and Elsie 12 have an incredibly hard time ahead so if you can do anything to help, please do. This fundraiser is essentially to help with funeral costs when the time comes, and any specific support for her children, to help to alleviate some worry and provide opportunities for final memories.

We all know the cost of living crisis is very real and felt by all of us in some way or another, however if you can please consider donating £25 or £50 we can all make a real difference.
