On March 20, 2025, Aaron Rainey—a 36-year-old Black father, son, and friend—was tragically shot and killed by Philadelphia police while experiencing a mental health crisis. Aaron had voluntarily gone to Friends Hospital seeking help, but instead of receiving care, he was met with deadly force. His life was stolen, and his family is now left to grieve an unimaginable loss.
Aaron was kind, creative, and deeply loved by his community. He was a father who deserved to be here for his children, a son whose mother now mourns him, and a person in crisis who needed compassion—not violence.
We are raising funds to support Aaron’s family during this devastating time. Donations will provide mental health support for grieving loved ones, and give his family space to mourn without the added burden of financial stress.
Your contribution is not just an act of solidarity—it is a refusal to let Aaron’s name be forgotten. It is a call to demand better for people in crisis. Help us honor Aaron’s life, support his family, and continue the fight for justice.
Please donate and share. Justice for Aaron Rainey.
