I am a 25 year old trans woman living on unemployment insurance after my employer, Battle & Brew at the Battery, suddenly closed (without warning) just before Christmas. Unemployment is not nearly enough for the necessities, but it slows down the dwindling of money. I don't have a car and had been saving for one for months until I lost said job. I've dried through all of my savings that I was building toward a car with, and now March marks the first month where I've legitimately run out.
I have been living on scraps as I try to hold off of asking for help, as doing this is maybe the most humiliating thing I can think of. But groceries, rent, and with my 3 month HRT checkup coming soon, I am running out of options.
I can't make rent on my own, and need help--any help I can get--to fight back the tide of homelessness or worse. Anything you choose to donate will be used solely on groceries, rent, and my prescripted meds, unless I somehow magically have enough for a car. I am living on the barest of minimums right now, and have been for over 2 months now.
I am an artist as well, and would happily draw anything you want if you help donate and reach out to me through my discord; "chillycheep", bluesky; "@chillydoodles", or X; "@chillydraws". Commission prices are posted and pinned on both social medias if you wanna be official about it, but desperate times call for desperate measures. I'll draw whatever to make it worth your while.
Even if you can't donate, sharing this around would be wildly helpful. Thank you, I love you all. Thank you for reading, and please be kind.
