One of our bright, resilient kindergarten students is facing significant health challenges. Diagnosed with spina bifida, her condition has recently worsened, requiring frequent trips to Children's Hospital in Birmingham—about two hours away from home. These visits often involve complex interventions and surgeries, and her family is unsure how long this phase of treatment will last. Through it all, she has shown incredible strength and courage, but she misses her friends and the comfort of her daily routine at school.

Her family is doing everything they can to support her, but as is so often the case with childhood illness, the extraordinary expenses are adding up quickly. As her school community, we have an opportunity to offer some relief and show her family that they are not alone.
