I am a single mom with children, and right now we’re facing one of the hardest times of our lives. I lost my job unexpectedly in an at-will state, which means I was let go without any reason or warning. With no income, I’m struggling to keep food on the table and the lights on for my family. We don’t have Medicaid or food stamps, so every day is a challenge to meet even our most basic needs.
