I am reaching out during a very difficult time in my life. I was recently laid off from my corporate job, and despite actively applying for new positions, I have not yet been successful in securing employment. I have applied to a wide range of opportunities, including local retail positions and contract work, but unfortunately have not received responses.

I have also applied for unemployment benefits and am currently waiting to complete a required phone interview with a workforce commissioner regarding my claim.

As a single mother living in Texas without family nearby, my support system is extremely limited. I have reached out to local masjids and organizations within a 20–30 mile radius for assistance, but have been unable to receive help due to residency requirements.

At this point, I am in urgent need of financial assistance. I am currently behind on several essential expenses, including rent, my car payment—which is nearly 80 days past due—and my electricity bill, along with other basic living costs.

Any amount that can be given will truly make a difference for me and my child during this challenging time. My goal is to get caught up on these bills and regain stability as I continue my job search.
