I am living by grace and mercy. I was laid off from work back in January. I took a part-time job at the school to get in the door. When school ended so did my unemployment. So when I contacted the GDOL, they said that I was a teacher. I told them that I was hired to work the after school program. So, I had to reapply and I was denied because of that. I had to file an appeal. The appeal takes 4-6 weeks to hear from them. I don’t have for to 6 weeks. I have bills to pay and I can’t afford to let my insurance lapse. Georgia will suspend your license and I can’t afford that to happen. I never thought that I would be starting over at soon to be 58 and homeless. Giving a company a total of 19 years of your life. I had a plan but it was broken on 1/28/25. Every job that I apply for I get turned down. I am starting to believe that it’s age discrimination. I even tried to reapply for the company that laid me off, and I could not even create a profile. I literally have hit rock bottom. I am not given up, I am still applying and keeping the Faith. I was debating on doing this until I got the notification from the verse of the day. Mark 11:24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. Then at the bottom it said: Don’t be afraid to ask. I am asking because I have a need. This will definitely help me pay my car insurance for months and a room. I’m in between places. I still have my part-time job at the school, but I don’t go back until August 4. Matthew 7:1 Don’t condemn others, and God won’t condemn you.
