Hey, kind people out there !
First off I just want to thank anybody and everyone that will even take time out of their day to read this. I’m just a young mom trying to stay afloat. I live in the south end of Montclair with my 10-year-old son. I'm about to get evicted on Wednesday , 2/25/2026 for backpay rent for January and February. I lost my job in December. I have no real family support that can help me. Since my termination, I have been applying to every grant and government programs for help in Jersey. I’ve been told it takes 3-6 months to even get on any list. I just want to keep a roof over our heads. As a single mom, I’m just trying to survive. After exhausting all options (welfare, programs for parents, emergency rental assistance, I even emailed a couple churches in town). I haven’t had any luck or many responses either. If you do happen to come across this post and have it in your heart to help in any way, you have no idea how much every little thing counts. My landlord made a verbal agreement to work with me and give me some time to payoff what I owe and then I came home last Tuesday, February 17 and there was a warrant of removal. I went straight to the court to see if I can get an extension and the judge told me that I have until Wednesday (TODAY) February 25 at 9 AM to pay off $1764 for January‘s rent and now $1764 for February , plus court fines and fees brought me to a total of $4327.00 as a final judgment to stop order of removal. I KNOW life is a struggle for everyone right now. As a mom I refuse to give up without giving my all until the last moment. I’m hoping there’s a higher power and kind hearts out there that can help. Per court order I’m only allowed to bring in money orders or a certified cashiers check. All of my information will be at the bottom. This is no scam, this is trying to survive.
