A young Mira Mesa family needs our community’s support during a very difficult time.

The father of three small children (ages 5, 3, and 2) is currently battling colon cancer. Thankfully, his prognosis is hopeful, but he will be unable to work for several months while he undergoes treatment and recovery. He works in construction, and without his income the family is struggling to keep up with basic expenses.

His wife is doing everything she can to hold things together. She is working two jobs - often overnight - while caring for their three young children. Earlier this year the family even had to sell their car just to pay rent.

This hardworking mixed-status family has always done their best to provide for themselves, but right now they need help from their neighbors. The Mira Mesa Alliance, a network of local residents supporting vulnerable families in our community, is helping coordinate this effort.

Funds from this GoFundMe will go directly to the family’s bank account to help cover essential living expenses like rent, food, utilities, and transportation while the father focuses on healing.
