Our family is coming together to support someone who has always shown up for the people he loves. Earlier this year, my brother-in-law’s job with the federal government required an unexpected relocation to Washington, DC, a move that wasn’t possible for his family, which resulted in the loss of his job and their health insurance.

Recently, he received the life-changing diagnosis of uveal melanoma. As he begins navigating treatment, what weighs on him most is not the diagnosis itself but his deep desire to continue providing stability for his wife, Candace, and their 11-year-old daughter, Caroline, during this incredibly uncertain time.
