My mother is known throughout our community for her kindness and dedication. She has always been a hard worker, never missing a day, and is recognized for her sweet and caring nature. Recently, she faced an unimaginable situation when a mass shooting occurred at the mall. In the midst of chaos, she made the heroic decision to call for help and assist the wounded until paramedics arrived. Her actions were noticed by many, and she bravely shared her story with the media to help others understand what happened. By sharing her story, she unknowingly placed her job in jeopardy. She is now on unpaid suspension waiting to know if she can return to the job she has been so faithful to for so many years.

With additional unforeseen actions taking place, she struggles to make ends meet. To make matters worse, her car recently broke down. Without reliable transportation, she can’t find other employment opportunities. Despite everything, she remains strong and continues to be a source of hope for those around her. The funds raised through this campaign will help my mother stay on top of her bills and repair her car. She has always been there for others, and now she needs help from her community.

UPDATE:

We’re grateful to share some positive news—my mother’s employer has recognized her loyalty and dedication and has invited her to return to the job she truly loves. She is looking forward to going back, which brings a sense of comfort during an otherwise difficult time.

That said, this does not take away from the challenges she faced or the impact the recent traumatic events have had on her. She is continuing to process everything and focus on healing.
