Support for a Lineman’s Wife

On July 15, 2021 Lauren Ruley’s life changed forever.  At the age of 38, her husband and best friend, Brennan Thomas Ruley, passed away unexpectedly.  Brennan was a Journeyman Electrician & Lineman who was the kindest soul in the room. 

Lauren and Brennan are from Austin, Texas and met at Westlake High School when they were just 14.  They were best friends for many years always keeping in touch-- even when Brennan moved to California for 10 years.  Brennan was first a Licensed Journeyman Electrician and went on to go to Northwest Lineman College in Oroville, CA where he became a lineman. After finishing school he moved back to Texas and his best friend soon became his loving wife.  They traveled the country together taking electrical and lineman jobs and got to see some really beautiful places. They eventually settled back in Austin, close to friends and family.

Brennan went to Puerto Rico to restore power after Hurricane Maria which was a life changing experience.  It brought Lauren such pride to know he was helping in such a great way following such a catastrophic disaster. 

That was Brennan.  He was always there to help.  He was an old soul, nostalgic soul.  He always looked for the best in others and wanted everyone in the room to succeed. He has a sense of humor that left an impression on anyone he met.

As Lauren is left to pick up the pieces of losing her soul mate, best friend and wing man; the reality of the situation is that Brennan was the sole provider for the family and bills are stacking up.

While Lauren isn't one to ask for help-- she needs it now more than ever.  Your support during this difficult time will allow her to fully grieve without the stress of worrying about finances.   All funds from this Go Fund Me will go to support the living & moving costs as well as the mounting debts of Lauren as she navigates this new life without her loving husband, Brennan.
