Our hearts are heavy as we share what our family is walking through. My sister and her family are preparing to welcome a new baby within the next week, while also facing an unexpected, life-changing diagnosis for their first baby, who just turned one in December. Their sweet little one has been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Between hospital stays, learning daily insulin care and blood sugar checks, and preparing for a newborn, this season has been overwhelming. The emotional and financial weight has been heavy, with medical bills, time off work, and ongoing care costs adding up quickly.
