Community request- UPDATE- THE CREMATION FEE IS GOING TO BE $250. I'M CREATING A GOFUNDME AND WE'LL ADD THE LINK. If there is any amount that goes over the expense, those will be put into gift cards to help her with her other many needs.
Just about 7pm yesterday, someone hit a ladies 2 year old retrieveron Western Ave by the cemetary and just let it lay in the road seriously hurt &dying. Somehow the latch came undone & the dog got out from the yard, when let out to potty. This dog was the only companion for her, as she's going through really tough time in life & groceries are a struggle. She is really struggling with expenses as is. And completely devastated by this loss.
I tried my best to take her and the dog to try and seek emergency medical, but as a lot of you know our emergency services in the valley are seriously lacking. And the ones that are there are so overpriced, it makes you choose your dog's life over being able to afford care. She took her last breathes in my back seat why we pleaded with vet service. With No luck.
Officer Craig with the WVHS, was so understanding and helpful, empathetic to this lady. We were able to transport the dog to her and seeking to get the dog cremated for her owner. As this woman is already struggling, the financial burden of this is not doable. I wanted to try and find a way to help her with this, but it's not an expense that i'm necessarily in the position to take care of. It just breaks my heart that someone else's carelessness and lack of empathy.Just let the dog lie there and suffer.
So I thought I would reach out to the community to see if anybody could/wanted to help contribute so we can have the dog cremated for her.
With just a few small donations, I figured the amount could be covered easily.
If interested, please send me a message and we'll figure out the best way to do this!
